DIY Neon Pencil Skirt from Leggings

One of the things I love about living in Tampa is that nightlife! Whether it's Ybor City or Channelside, there's always something to do! Tomorrow night is the Neon Party at Channelside.

All girls get in free before 11:30 if they come dressed in neon. I love dressing up and I love getting in free (you know, the whole not having a job thing)! But I've got one problem.

The only neon article of clothing I owned was a pair of coral/hot pink leggings.

I purchased it during a binge shopping trip a few months ago but never wore it. And I didn't see myself wearing it any time soon.

So with the party tomorrow night, and no budget for something new, I got busy:

I tried the leggings on, and pinned where I planned on cutting it.

Cut! Cut! Cut!

Now time to separate the seams!

Sew up the sides!

And here's the finished product! I thought the view might be better on my mannequin, but apparently I was wrong...

So here's a photo of me wearing it with my friends!

It was a really fun night and I'm so glad I went!

Here's to more good times!

Until then,

Stay Fashionable!
