Hello my lovelies!!!
Have you missed me? Because I've missed you!
It's been so hard not sharing my fabulous outfits with you all over these past few weeks.
But things in the office have stabilised and I'm back!
I hope you enjoyed all those yummy delicious recipes I've been giving you!
I'm not sure how grateful my waistline is though.
^.^
Random thought:
While I was checking my email this morning, I came across a newsletter for Dr. Jays. They haven't sent me a newsletter since I originally signed up with them. I decided to click on the link and scroll through. As I was online window shopping, something caught my eye. These apple bottom shoes looked very familiar. In fact, I (technically my mother) just bought these shoes on Saturday from a local shoe store (for those here in Nassau, it was Shoe Depot in the Mall across from BTC). What did I (my mother) pay for these shoes?
$23!
And their asking price, $28.99 (sale price, original was $50). And let's not forget, that's not tax and shipping and handling yet. So, I think I got a GREAT bargain! Especially for a name brand!
Speaking of name brands, you guys know how much I love ModCloth as evidenced by my knockoff Panel Moderator Dress, this here dress, this knockoff, and my version of their minimalist morning top. Hmm, I think this officially counts as an obsession. I'll seek help later.
(Oh, and that dress with the stain? Totally gave up on it. It was a lost cause and a total waste of money and time).
After seeing this dress:

(which still hasn't been released yet)
I definitely wanted to make my own.
Original price?
$89.99
YIKES!!!!
My version?
$13!
And the most expensive part was the buttons! (I caught a killer sale on the fabric: 2 yards for $5)

Are you guys ready to see how I transformed this?
Ready?
Ta Da!!!

Look at my little boat! It's sooooo cute!
And here I am wearing it to work today!

I paired it with my infamous lace clutch, my gold cuff bracelet from Forever 21 and my two-toned brown heels!

So what do you think?
I hope you guys like it!
I love that I'm the only one on the planet rocking this dress because it hasn't been released yet.
See you guys tomorrow when I show you my latest project!
Until then, Stay Fashionable!
