How I Spent Valentine's Day

Yesterday may have been lovers day, but last night I went to the 2 chainz concert with two of my friends and let me just say, it was absolutely amazing! I’m not the biggest 2 chainz fan, but I cannot deny that he is a very charismatic guy. I know a few of his songs and he seems to be an all-around nice guy. The tickets were only $40 and considering I didn’t have anything else to do on Valentine’s Day, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. I vowed this year to go on more adventures (as long as my wallet can accommodate it). I’m hoping to graduate in either December or February so I’m excited to reclaim my life! After this I will officially be done with school (unless money magically appears for a PhD). I actually got my jacket from the thrift store for only $8. Do you like my outfit?

The concert itself didn’t actually start until after 11 when Lil Scrappy and someone named Bambi (did I spell that right?) from a show called Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. Look I know about Lil Scrappy from when he used to rap, but that show is too ratchet me. I can’t tell you who any of those people are or what their claim to fame is. They were only the hosts. They seemed friendly. A group of Bahamian musicians who formed what they called, ‘The Bahamian Rat Pack’ opened for 2 chainz and they were great! I loved the energy!

2 chainz didn’t take the stage until 1 am. He performed for an hour! He mainly performed songs that he featured on along with some of his hits including songs from the beginning of his career. There were no surprise artists but 2 chainz was hype enough. There was a little hiccup when the event organisers told him he couldn’t cuss but the crowd encouraged him to go ahead and be authentic. Best of all, there were no fights and positive energy the whole night! We even got free food that was leftover from the Platinum seating area at the end of the show, and boy was that food good! I had so much fun and can’t wait for the next adventure. How did you guys spend your Valentine’s Day?

XoX,

Olivia
