Happy Independence Day Bahamas!

Today is a day to reflect on freedom and happiness. For those who don't know, Today, in 1973, the Bahamas gained her independence from the British! It's so interesting that we're just six days after America even with so many years apart! But today is our Independence Day, it's a holiday and I'm spending it writing two papers that have to be turned in by Sunday. I may have procrastinated this week. I've had a lot of mixed emotions and it took me the whole week to sort through them. So I'm trying real hard to buckle down, but this independence day also has me reflecting on summertime and things I can't do without (fashion-wise).

While we don't get scorching temperatures of 100+ during the summer, it does get pretty hot, so you've got to know how to dress here if you want to survive the heat! I've compiled a little list of a few fashion items I need during the summer. And if you want to know more about the items listed, just check it out here!

I love breezy summer dresses, free-flowing, light tees and crop tops, and bright colorful shorts the most. I typically wear flat sandals everyday at this point, and shades are a definite must! In a few weeks, I hope to offer you some cool DIYs with shades, so stay tuned for that. What's your summertime essentials? Sound off in the comment section below, or hit me up on Facebook or Tumblr!

Happy Independence Day Bahamas!

XoX,

Olivia
