Outfit Post: Not Quite Ready for Fall

Good Morning!

It's Monday again. The beginning of another week. Most people dread Mondays (including myself) but there are ways that you can have fun with Mondays. Like me, I save my favourite look of the week for Mondays. Why not start the week with a bang right? You can even treat yourself to gourmet meals on Mondays. Anything to get you through the day and most importantly, the week ahead.

I don't know about you guys but I often have to begin my preparation from the weekend. I had a great weekend! Like HUGE! Even though it started off terribly, I was able to save it when I went to a dinner party with my friends from the Tech Group at church. Remember the last one we did? We played Partini again and won, again! That's because I'm super awesome at charades! (I promise I'm not bragging).

Then I went to an 80's themed house party! (Can you believe I never got a full body shot?) It was so much fun. We partied until about 3 am! The DJ played a lot of music from the 70s and 90s but it was still fun nonetheless. Especially when we got into the pool!

(The closest I got to a full length photo)

But when I wasn't partying, I was in and out of sleep, while playing the Sims. And funny thing about that, I tweeted that I was playing the Sims, and the Sims actually tweeted back (the makers of the game, not the game itself, that would be ridiculous) not once, but TWICE! I genuinely geeked out that day!

So when Sunday came, as much as I wanted to relax, I knew that I needed to fix my hair because leaving it out was not going to work. I spent 8 hours yesteray completing my yarn braids (not as hard as I thought it would be, but definitely takes a long time to complete by yourself). Which brings me to today, Monday!

To better show off my new braids, I wore my new skirt that I actually made about a month ago! I had intentions of wearing it the first week of school but those plans changed when we thought we were getting a hurricane but didn't and I didn't feel like shaving my legs.

The fabric was really narrow, but I really wanted that circle skirt feel. Simply using an elastic in the waist band proved to be enough. And adding the sash totally upped the cuteness factor! The blouse is Charlotte Russe from Tampa, and the fabric was bought at Commonwealth Fabrics.

(I felt so fat when I looked at these photos)

My coworker said I look 16 today so I feel accomplished! I even put on my bright pink eyeshadow! So as you can see, I'm not quite ready for fall yet. I'm still having fun with pool parties and my summer prints and colours. So fall, you are just gonna have to wait a bit. But please feel free to bring some pumpkin my way!

XoX,

Olivia
